For those of you who haven't heard, A&P's all over Connecticut are closing their doors, with many being replaced by Big Y. The final date for A&P is said to be October 31st, only 4 weeks away. If you are not an A&P shopper, now is the time to consider being one for the next four weeks. Their weekly ads are having AMAZING specials on just about everything.
So, while most of us make our lists, take our coupons, and go; you may want to consider bringing along your coupon book. There are many, many markdowns and specials that aren't necessarily in the weekly flyer's. You can score some great bargains if you take some extra time to look around.
Their meats are being marked down drastically so this is a great time to stock your freezer up. Be mindful of produce quality though as shipments are likely to be sparse over the next few weeks and what is left may not be of a high quality.
